Our Story
Born in the Field, Built for the Wild
Trailwatch started around a campfire in Kruger National Park. A small group of wildlife guides, conservation biologists, and technology builders shared a frustration: the best wildlife knowledge lived in scattered field notebooks, not in the hands of the people who needed it most.
We set out to change that. By combining decades of field experience with modern technology, we created a platform that puts expert-grade wildlife intelligence into every adventurer's pocket — whether you're tracking leopards in the Serengeti or identifying birdsong in your backyard.

Our Mission
To democratize wildlife knowledge and empower every person — from first-time hikers to veteran field researchers — to explore, understand, and protect the natural world. We believe that when people connect deeply with wildlife, they become its strongest advocates.
What We Stand For
Our values guide every decision we make, from the features we build to the partnerships we form.
Every species entry, safety protocol, and trail recommendation is verified by experienced wildlife professionals. We never compromise on the reliability of our data — lives depend on it.
Wildlife knowledge shouldn't be locked behind academic paywalls or exclusive guiding circles. We make expert-grade tools accessible to anyone with a passion for the natural world.
We partner with conservation organizations worldwide and donate a portion of every Professional subscription to habitat preservation and anti-poaching initiatives.
Our most valuable asset is our global community of trackers, guides, photographers, and enthusiasts who contribute sightings, validate data, and support one another in the field.
